2,157,907 primary students and 331,133 Ebtedae students would sit for the exams. Only about 4,049 candidates would take the English version. Results of the examination would be published between December 22 and December 27, 2010.

Reportedly, in 2009, the total number of candidates was 1,979,895. Among the all students, 92 percent student appeared for the exam and 88.84 percent passed successfully. The number of examination centers was 5,357. There were five overseas centers in 2010 Primary and Ebtedae terminal examinations.
Primary and Ebtedae terminal examinations is a revolution in our country. Its main tasks are “New syllabus examination”. A 100 marks exam for each subject under the curriculum of school and madrasha has held. To publish the results in a short time, the boards would increase the number of examiners. No separate examination will be held for admission in class VI. The authorities had ensured a transparent system for checking the exam scripts. The teachers cannot take the scripts home. Reportedly, One hundred and eighty-six students were expelled for cheating on the first day of the primary and Ebtedae terminal examinations on Tuesday, 23rd November, 2010, said the official of the control room of the Directorate of Primary Education.
